Getting the infrastructure right is vital in making your commercial building smart. At Smart Buildings Show (Olympia London, 9-10 October) there are a number of speakers who can make sure that you make the correct decisions when specifying your buildings infrastructure.

LeaAnn Carl, director of intelligence solutions at Commscope in her presentation 'Smarter Networks for Connected Spaces', says that "Building owners and managers are increasingly adopting smart devices to facilitate higher efficiency, greater security and satisfied occupants in their buildings. These devices require a physical layer network to connect them, driving the need for the networks to also become smarter and enable building managers to rapidly address any problems with the devices. Combining technologies such as automated infrastructure management (AIM) systems with augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, can give building owners and managers visibility into the network like never before.

"I will explain the role of automated infrastructure management systems and augmented reality technology in delivering smarter networks for smart buildings."

Clayton Nash, head of product at CityFibre and Richard Bridge, client director at Comms365 will explain how CityFibre and Comms365 have been running a building-based IoT smart sensor trial using Peterborough’s brand new citywide digital infrastructure. In this session they’ll share their trial results in detail for the first time, including a walkthrough of the significant building management cost savings already being realised.

Both presentation are on day one of Smart Buildings Show, the UK's largest free-to-attend commercial smart buildings show.
