Beckhoff Automation will be demonstrating advanced lighting controls as part of its holistic approach to a wider Building Management System at this year’s LuxLive show, 15-16 November at ExCeL London.

Beckhoff’s PC- and Ethernet-based control platform can be used to create a building-wide automation solution or converge existing systems and expand them to optimise energy usage, ensure occupier comfort and wellbeing, and provide IoT connectivity of all assets for today’s cutting-edge smart buildings.
Traditional lighting control systems often lack interconnectivity with the wider BMS, or are even considered to be a part it, missing out on the advantages of integration such as visibility (and visualisation) of the system’s performance and health, perhaps excluding them from a pro-active facilities management and maintenance programme.
Because Beckhoff is agnostic to existing infrastructure and networks, supporting all open standards such as BACnet, Modbus, DALI, KNX and LON – either natively at hardware level or through comprehensive software libraries, seamlessly connecting legacy equipment – the system becomes extensible, from lighting to HVAC control, from single room through to estate-wide automation.
